Vi veri universum vivus vici

Vi veri universum vivus vici , also written as Vi veri veniversum vivus vici ( lat. - “[by the power] of truth, I, the living, conquered the universe”) is a Latin winged expression . The second version of the phrase contains 5 words starting with the letter “V”, while the number 5 in Roman numerals is also denoted by “V”.

This quote is often attributed to Christopher Marlowe in Dr. Faust , where it appeared, allegedly as Vi veri ueniversum vivus vici , but no direct quotes were found.

Alistair Crowley took this phrase as his magic motto , often spelled “VVVVV”. [one]

The phrase became popular again with the release of the graphic novel "V - means vendetta" , this phrase also appears in the film version . [2]
