History
The ensemble was created in 1936. In 1996 he received the title of "academic".
In 1996, as part of the Adygea Culture Days in Moscow, he performed on the stages of the State Kremlin Palace and the Hall of Columns of the House of Unions. In 2007, he was a participant in the Kremlin Dawn festival. Repeatedly performed with tours abroad.
The ensemble employs about 70 people. Since 2013, the People’s Artist of the Republic of Adygea, Honored Artist of the Kuban Aslan Khadzhayev has been the artistic director and chief choreographer.
Recognition
- 1978 - diploma-winner at the All-Russian Song and Dance Ensemble Competition
- 1991 - Laureate of the 1st World Adyghe Culture Festival in Nalchik
- 1996 - medal "Glory of Adygea"
- 2016 - Knight of the Order "Honor and Glory of Abkhazia, III degree"
The ensemble is the owner of prizes at international competitions of folklore dance in Turkey (Samsun and Ankara, 1994, 1995 and 1997) and a laureate of international folk art festivals in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai, 1998), Syria (Homs, 1998) and Belgium (San Gislen, 2000).
