He still holds the record holder (with Ernie Digregorio) in terms of the number of programs made in one match among the NBA newcomers - 25 [1] . In the 1993/94 season, he became the leader of the regular gear championship and was included in the second national team of all NBA defense stars in the 1993/94 and 1994/95 seasons. Over the course of his career, he has triple-triple-double 3 times. For its achievements, Supersonics assigned number 10 to it [2] .
Coaching career
After the player’s career ended in 1998, Macmillan remained at the club and took the post of assistant coach where he remained until 2000, when he was appointed acting coach of Sonic. In the 2001/02 season, he was finally approved at this post. Macmillan already in the second year of his work brought the team into the playoff games. During his last year with the team, Nate won the division title in 2005.
On May 16, 2016, Macmillan became the head coach after the Pacers decided not to renew the contract with Frank Vogel [3] .
