Guillermo Flores Avendaño ( 1894 - 1982 ) - politician of Guatemala . On October 4, 1957, he was appointed by the Constitutional Assembly to the post of president of the republic; began rule on October 27. On March 2 of the following year, he transferred power to the newly elected president, José Miguel Idigoras Fuentes, and was appointed by him to the post of Minister of Defense.
