Biography
For the first time he acted as a lawyer and distinguished himself with excellent defense in the well-known process of Ms. Lafarge. In February 1848, he showed himself as an ardent defender of press crimes, was appointed government commissioner in the department of Upper Vienna . Then he was elected by the same department a member of the constitutional assembly, sat on the foreign affairs committee, and in 1849 he was elected representative of the departments of the Seine and Upper Vienna, but he elected the latter. By decree on January 11, 1852, Buck was forced to leave France , where he returned only in 1868, shortly before his death. Buck's court speeches take pride of place in French forensic literature.
