A normal cubic meter is an off-system unit for measuring the amount of a substance that in a gaseous state takes up one cubic meter under conditions called “normal conditions” (pressure 760 mm Hg , which corresponds to 101325 Pa , and temperature 0 ° C ), which differs from adopted by the IUPAC system concept of “ standard conditions ” (pressure 10 5 Pa, temperature 273.15 K , or 0 ° C). It is designated as “nm 3 ” (or “nm 3 ” - in the gas industry).
The use of this off-system unit is not recommended [1] .
Under normal conditions, the volume of 1 mole of ideal gas is 2.24136 · 10 –2 m 3 [2] , that is, 1 n.m 3 contains approximately 44.6 mol of the substance (1000 l / 22.4 l / mol = 44.6428 mol )
