Kalbinsky ridge ( Kazakh. Kalba zhotasy ) - a mountain range in the south-west of Altai , located on the territory of the East Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan .

The ridge is a system of strongly dissected, mainly low-mountain massifs that reach 1300-1500 m in the east. Mountains to the west lower and gradually turn into a small hills 450-700 m high. The length of the ridge is about 400 km. The maximum height is 1606 m [1] .
The Kalba Range is composed of Paleozoic schists , sandstones and intrusive rocks (mainly granites ). There are deposits of gold [2] and polymetallic ores .
Up to an altitude of 800–1200 m, steppe vegetation prevails on mountain chestnut and chernozem soils. Rare-standing pine and birch-aspen forests are found above. At the highest peaks dominated steppe subalpine meadows .
