On November 6, 1918, workers' and soldiers' councils began to arise [1] , in particular the Workers' Committees of the joint peasant councils of Rostock, Doberan and Ribnitz ( Arbeiterausschuss der vereinigten Bauernräte Rostock, Doberan und Ribnitz ) [2] . On November 14, 1918, the Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Friedrich Franz IV abdicated, the working committee of the peasant councils formed the new composition of the Ministry of State. Elected on January 26, 1919, the Constitutional Zemsky Diet ( verfassunggebende Landtag ), adopted on May 17, 1920, the constitution replaced the dualistic monarchy with a parliamentary republic.
