Hark [2] ( Pers. خارك ) is a small island town in southern Iran , in the province of Bushehr . It is part of the shakhrestan Bushir . As of 2006, the population was 8 196 people [3] .

Geography
The city is located on the island of the same name , in the northwestern part of the Persian Gulf. Hark is located approximately 55 kilometers northwest of Bushehr , the provincial capital, and 715 kilometers south of Tehran , the country's capital.
