Training program

The curriculum is a document created within the framework of the training system that defines the content and amount of knowledge and skills intended for compulsory mastering of a particular academic discipline , their distribution by topics, sections and periods of study.

In addition to the full text, the curriculum may be accompanied by an explanatory note summarizing the objectives of teaching the subject, describing the sequence of studying the material, listing the most significant methods and organizational forms, establishing a link with the teaching of other subjects.

Basic principles of curriculum development

  • attention to modern achievements of science, technology and culture
  • compliance with the social goals of educating students
  • development of creative abilities of students
  • continuity - from previously studied material to the current and subsequent;
  • interconnections between academic subjects, corresponding to the natural connections between the studied phenomena.

Concretization of the content of education, determined by the curriculum, occurs in textbooks , teaching aids and guidelines .

Training programs are typical, variable, work, school, author, individual. There are two ways to build a curriculum: concentric (when separate parts of educational material are repeated on an ever-expanding in-depth level) and linear (separate parts of educational material form a continuous sequence of closely related links, the content of knowledge is transmitted once in a specific logic).

The working curriculum is a curriculum developed on the basis of an exemplary (model) curriculum for a specific educational institution , taking into account the national-regional component of the standard. Working training programs are developed by educational institutions. The procedure for developing working curricula is established by regional education authorities, which are responsible for the implementation of the federal component of the standard.
