Misiminia is a late antique and early medieval state formation of Misimians . It is known from the 1st century BC. e. In the VII-VIII centuries. was in vassal dependence on the Laz kingdom . In the 730s, it was absorbed by the neighboring, more powerful principality of Abazgiya , on the basis of which Apsilia later formed the kingdom of Abkhazia . Within the borders roughly coincided with the historical region of Dal Tsabal .
It was located on the territory of modern Abkhazia in the middle reaches of the Kodor River. The Misimiyans owned the large fortresses of Bukhloon and Sobgisi .
