Ivan Andreevich Buturlin (d. 1575 ) - the boyar and governor of the Buturlin family in the reign of Ivan the Terrible . The first mention of Buturlin in 1551 in the lists of Moscow children of the boyars . In 1558 he was sent to the Livonian War , participated in the capture of Narva , the capture of St. George and the campaign near Riga . In 1560 , together with Prince Ivan Mstislavsky, he directed the capture of Fellin .

Since 1562, he was engaged in defense on the southern borders of the state from the frequent raids of the Crimean Tatars , but he soon returned to the western theater of war and took part in a campaign against Polotsk . For valor at his capture, Buturlin was granted a roundabout . In 1565 he was one of the governors in Pskov . Since 1567 , in the rank of boyar, he lived at the court of Ivan the Terrible. In 1575 he fell into disgrace and executed with his son Fedor.
