- Originally - the street of the former Empty Market . The name was given in 1798 on the Empty Market (house number 3, not preserved).
- From 1804 to 1828 - Rynoshny Lane .
- From 1822 to 1844 - Market Lane .
- Since 1828 - Rynoshnaya street .
- From 1836 to July 31, 1950 - Market Street .
- The modern name was given on July 31, 1950 along the Gangut Peninsula in memory of the victory of the Russian navy over the Swedish fleet in 1714 and in honor of the defenders of the peninsula in World War II .
