Biography
In 1956 he graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI). Sergo Ordzhonikidze majoring in mechanical engineer in aircraft engine manufacturing.
From 1956 to 1961 he worked at OKB-301 (now an NGO named after S. A. Lavochkin ). Participated in the development of:
- intercontinental cruise missile (MKR) " Storm "
- Dal anti-aircraft missile system .
In 1961 he was transferred to OKB-1 (now OJSC RSC Energia named after S. P. Korolev ). Participated in the design:
- heavy interplanetary ship (TMK) for manned overflight of Venus and Mars
- lunar orbital ship (LOC) (senior engineer, then lead designer)
- the reusable space-rocket complex Energia-Buran (team leader and lead designer)
Dismissed from RSC Energia on January 6, 1995 due to retirement.
Academic Advisor to the Russian Academy of Engineering .
Honored Veteran of RKK Energia named after S.P. Koroleva. Honored Engineer of Russia.
