Factory History

In 1898, at the site of the current Vibropribor plant (8 Birzhevoy Descent), the D. Diamantidi and sons ” [1] . It was located on the coastal strip under a cliff next to Birzhevoy Descent. In 1910, the plant became the property of M. I. Vaksov [2] . Konstantin Paustovsky in his autobiographical book β€œRestless Youth” even mentions Vaksov’s attempts in 1916 to set up production of artillery shells (shell glasses) at this creamery [3] . This venture was not successful, since only marriage was possible [3] .

In the 1920s, after nationalization, the company was called β€œ2nd State Plant named after Badaev Ukrmaslozhirtrest ", since 1924 - the trust" Sevkavzhirmaslo " [1] . In 1941, the plant was badly damaged.

In 1946, the territory of the plant was transferred to the newly created weighing plant for the production of table scales (20 kg) [1] . He was subordinate to the places. prom RSFSR, but had the scale of all-Union significance. Since 1953, it was reorganized into the Taganrog Plant of Measuring Instruments agricultural machinery. RSFSR [1] . This factory produced tape measures, meters, levels, surveying tapes, scales. At that time, about 270 people worked at the plant [1] .

In 1959, SKB was created on the basis of the plant to develop vibration-measuring and vibration equipment with the further specialization of the enterprise for its production [1] .

In June 1963, by the Decree of the SC SNX dated 06/01/1963 No. 114 to the Taganrog Plant of Measuring Instruments the name "State Plant" Vibropribor "was assigned. In the period 1960-1970s, its significant development took place: new buildings were built, the number of employees reaches 1600 people [1] . In addition to the main products, consumer goods are produced [1] .

In 1977, Vibropribor software was created, which includes both the plant and SKB [1] . The production association developed and manufactured vibration-noise measuring equipment and devices, electrodynamic stands, etc. [1] In the 1980s, the product range was over 60 products. Products were also delivered abroad. Loss control devices for the Niva and Kolos combine harvesters were manufactured [1] .

Since December 1992, the company was transformed into a joint stock company [1] . In November 1997, due to the threat of bankruptcy, the company introduced arbitration management [1] .
