Story
The classic plot of the "Golden Calf" with radically redone images of heroes. Ostap Bender is no longer young, bald, walks with a three-day stubble, wears a hat. Shura Balaganov - an iron-toothed gopnik in a motorcycle helmet. Panikovsky - a gray-haired old man, clearly "from the former." Zosia Sinitskaya is not a fragile girl, but a vamp woman. The appearance of Koreiko is dominated by purely predatory, gangster features, and not by combinatorial and computational abilities.
Bender and his team are trying to blackmail money from an underground millionaire by collecting incriminating evidence among officials. Alexander Koreiko, a museum worker, does not store a treasure case in a boring storage room, but in an exotic aquarium with crocodiles.
The original storyline is a branch of the finale. In part, it follows the fluctuations of the authors, reflected in different editions of the novel, but at the same time the “familiar” ending with Ostap’s attempt to cross the Romanian border leads to failure, and in the “alternative” ending, Ostap not only reconciles with Zosya, but also saves capital.
The film was shot mainly in the Crimea (Nikitsky Garden, Gaspra, etc.)
