The coat of arms of the Khmelnytsky region is a symbol and the official emblem of the Khmelnytsky region, which together with the flag makes up the official symbols of the city self-government bodies and the regional executive authority. Approved together with the flag on March 21, 2002 by decision of the 22nd session of the regional council.

The emblem is a shield , dissected for azure and chervlen [1] , on top of the whole golden sun under which are two opposed grain ears in the form of the letter “X” of the same metal. The shield is inscribed in a decorative cartouche and topped with a golden opened book.
The sun acts as a symbol of Podolia , red color symbolizes Volyn , ears of corn signify agriculture of the region and represent the letter “X” (the name of the region begins with it).
