Cosmocomoidea walkerjonesi (lat.) Is a species of chalcidoid riders of the Cosmocomoidea genus from the Mymaridae family [1] .

Description
Small chalcinoid riders . Found in the state of California ( USA , Ventura County and Riverside ) and in Nicaragua (Masaya, Las Flores). Body length: 0.140-0.185 mm (females), 0.145-0.172 mm (males). Antennae 12-segmented in females and 13-segmented in males. Wings with fully reduced venation. The body color of females is mainly yellowish-orange to light brown, with a few exceptions. Antenna segments of females F5 and F6 white; pedicel and two spots on basal tergite, several spots on distal tergites and hind tibia brown; the space between the ocelli, the segments of the antennae F1-F4, F7, F8, the club and the wide strip on the middle tergite of the abdomen are dark brown [1] .
Homalodisca coagulata (Say) ( Cicadellidae ) parasitize on eggs of cicadas , from which they were removed under laboratory conditions [1] .
Etymology
The species name was given in honor of the American entomologist Walker Jones (Dr. Walker A. Jones, United States Department of Agriculture - Agricultural Research Service) [1] .
