Aduma is a people living in Gabon . Relate to the Bantu family. Their original territory is the southern bank of the upper Ogove River, in the vicinity of Lastourville , which was originally the village of Adum.
The traditions of the Adum say that they came from the east, going down the river Himself. Adum was always famous for its boats and were known as excellent rowers. In colonial times, Adum sold slaves, receiving weapons and clothing from Europeans in return. Later, after the establishment of a trading post in Lasturville, Adumas were involved in the trading of rubber , ivory and ebony .
In the 1970s, many Adumas moved down the Ogove River and into Port Gentil .
