History
The story of Psyopus began with the Stranglefuck project. Under this name, in 2002 the group recorded a demo, an instrumental version (guitar, drum machine), which later formed the first Psyopus album. In the fall of 2002, the group was renamed Psyopus.
The first studio album was released in March 2004 and was discussed very controversially. Although some critics emphasized the importance of the technical skill of the musicians and even compared them to well-established groups of the matcor, such as The Dillinger Escape Plan [1] . In the summer of 2004, Psyopus toured the US with an album.
After the tour, Herman left the group, allegedly because the tour was a lot of stress for him and he would like to spend more time with his wife [2] . In subsequent years there were replacements on drums. Lee Fisher and Corey Barnes were replaced after being spotted for drug use. [2]
In 2007, the band released their second album, Our Puzzling Encounters Considered. After the release of the album, Jason Farmer, drummer John Cole, vocalist Harrison Christie and Michael Horn, who played the bass, joined the group. Compared to the debut album, the complexity of the composition and arrangement has increased. This, in the first place, was influenced by Bauer's skill and versatility.
In subsequent years, the composition remained relatively stable. In 2009, the third studio album, Odd Senses, was released.
In 2001, Christopher Arp took part in a nationwide competition to replace the vacant guitarist position in Limp Bizkit . At that time he worked at a plastic processing plant and participated primarily at the insistence of his colleagues. He won the local competition in Rochester , and received a guitar as a prize. [3]
Arp was auditioned by various manufacturers of guitars and amps. Ibanez made a contract with him for a guitar that can support the game shown by Arp in a famous video that he really knows how to play very quickly and skillfully.

The entire album is just a numbing repetition of riffs and chord progressions, you won't get more stuff [...]. " Date of treatment January 11, 2012. Archived August 31, 2012.
