Calosoma atrovirens (lat.) - a species of ground beetles from the subfamily of ground beetles itself . Three subspecies are known. Distributed in Mexico [1] .

The body length of adults is 22–28 mm [2] . The beetles are dark green, black, with a barely noticeable green tint at the edges, or reddish-black, with greenish edges. The body shape within a population can vary greatly [2] .
