Project History
The ship was built in accordance with a concept that was fundamentally new and unusual for cruise shipping, proposed by the Norwegian shipowner Knud Kloster. The main idea was to build a houseboat or resort for very wealthy people. They will not become, so to speak, “tenants” of cabins for several days of the cruise, as on other liners, but they will be the real owners of these cabins, or rather luxury apartments with bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, balconies with a total area of 100 to 300 square meters. A total of 110 such apartments were built on 11 passenger decks of the ship. Their owners themselves can live all year round on a ship traveling around the world, can appear there whenever they want, can roll their friends or rent their premises to completely strangers. The cost of apartments on the ship is rather big - from $ 2.7 to $ 9.1 million. Despite these prices, even before the completion of construction, 80 apartments were already sold. 60% of buyers turned out to be Europeans and 40% - Americans. The purchase of apartments on the ship can be made through the official website of the company-owner of the ship. The average age of residents is 64 years.
