History
Previously, the street was called Vasilyevskaya (the name has been known since 1901 ). The street was shorter and started from the now defunct Chernavskaya street. The eastern border of the street was where it is now. The modern name of the street was assigned on December 15, 1952 in honor of the Soviet arms designer, Hero of Socialist Labor Vasily Alekseevich Degtyarev .
