Biography

 
Belopolsky’s grave at the Novodevichy cemetery in Moscow.

Born on March 14 ( March 27 ), 1901 in Kiev (now Ukraine ). In 1927, he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Chemical Engineering with a degree in chemical engineering. He worked at the Scientific Institute for Fertilizers and Insectofungicides (NIUIF) (1927–1950), since 1932 - head of the salt and physicochemical laboratories; since 1932, he simultaneously taught at the MIS named after I.V. Stalin , associate professor (since 1933), professor (since 1935), head of the department of general chemistry (1937–1941); Head of the Department of General Chemistry at UPI (1941–1943).


He was engaged in physical and chemical studies of salt systems. Significantly restructured the lecture course and laboratory workshops at the Department of General Chemistry, UPI . Participant in conferences of national importance and the XV International Congress ( Brussels , 1935). Prepared three candidates of science.

The author of more than 90 publications. Member of the CPSU (b) .

The student is Tomilin, Igor Arkadievich [1] .

He died on March 18, 1950 in an accident. He was buried in Moscow at the Novodevichy cemetery .

Awards and Prizes

  • Stalin Prize of the third degree (1941) - for the development of a method for producing ammonium sulfate and soda from mirabilite
  • Order of the Badge of Honor (1944).
