History

Air Holland was founded in 1984 by private investor John Block.

In the 1990s, another Dutch airline Transavia Airlines tried unsuccessfully to buy a carrier.

By the end of 1990, Air Holland had a net loss of about 30 million Dutch guilders , so the next year, due to financial problems, the airline was forced to suspend operations. In December 1991, Air Holland resumed air travel, at that time another manager, A. R. Marx, was at the head of the company.

On March 25, 2004, the airline finally ceased all operations due to current losses and the resulting loan debt.
