Vasily Tyshkevich (d. August 13, 1571 ) - statesman of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania , representative of the Tyszkiewicz clan coat of arms “Leliva” . Marshal gospodar (1546-1558), governor of Podlaski (1558-1563) and Smolensk (since 1569).

Biography
He owned the estates of Belavichi, Salmon, Baykevichi, Ryazhenoye, Zditov , Chris, Sporovo and others. He was the headman of Krasnoselsky, Cherkasy and Kanevsky (from 1536), Minsk (from 1544), Volkovysk (from 1546), Pinsk (from 1569), Bobruisk and Gaynovsky [1] .
He was in opposition to the tycoon in relation to Sigismund Augustus , as a result of which in 1563 the post of governor of Podliashsky was transferred to Prince Stefan Zbarazhsky .
In 1569, he opposed the conclusion of the Union of Lublin . In the same year, he held the post of governor of Smolensky [1] [2] .
November 5, 1569 received from the Grand Duke Sigismund Augustus the title of Count "in Logoisk and Berdichev " [1] .
He participated in battles with the Crimean Tatars, embassies in the Crimea and Moscow . Being Orthodox , he converted to Calvinism .
Before his death, he made a will [3] , according to which part of the land passed to his daughter Alexandra, and part to his son Eustachius (young son from his second marriage). In addition, he bequeathed to bury himself in Supraly monastery , his tombstone contains the following inscription:
“In the summer from the Birth of the Lord God and Savior of Jesus Christ 1571 months of August 13 days a week, the servant of God Vasily Tishkovich, Voivode of Smolensk Starost Mensky and Pinsk, ceased to be in the Temple of the Blessed Virgin Mary, ceased to be [ monasteries ] .
Family
The son of Tyska Kalenikovich .
He was married twice. From his first marriage with Alexandra Chartoryskaya, she had a daughter, Anastasia (married to Ivan Meleshko ) and three sons - Yuri , Kalenik and Eustachius. The second marriage was married to Anastasia Sopotkovna, from whom he had a daughter, Alexandra (married to Alexander Khodkevich ), and a son, Eustachy Serafin [5] .
