Title History
On August 20, 1739 the name was given to Officer Street , the name is due to the fact that it was planned to build lodges here (houses) for officers of the Admiralty Department . Since 1776, the name Malaya Masterskaya Street has existed, given to the settlement of workshops of people of the Admiralty Office. In parallel, there existed the names Lesser Workshop , Gryazny Lane , Bolshaya Gryazny Lane [1] .
The modern name Masterskaya Street was assigned on September 24, 1912 , in connection with the renaming of Bolshaya Masterskaya Street into Lermontovsky Prospekt [1] .

The street appeared in the first half of the XVIII century [1] .
