Treinta y Tres ( Spanish: Treinta y Tres ) is a department in eastern Uruguay . The area is 9,529 km² (5.5% of the total area of Uruguay); administrative center - the city of the same name . It borders with the departments of Cerro Largo (in the north), Durasno and Florida (in the west), Lavalleja and Rocha (in the south), as well as with Brazil (in the east).
