Scientific Ideas

In the years 1971-77. investigated the psychological mechanisms of concentration of large volumes of information necessary for the rapid categorization of objects and situations, studied the structure of acts of instant understanding, as well as types of educational motivation in children. He revealed the psychological structure of mental actions that provide an instant understanding of complex objects and situations. I found out that mental action unfolds as a multi-level pyramidal structure of loop processes, and the result of the action is the initial beginning of the formation of the action structure, directing the system of analyzed information to itself [1] . Based on these data in 1978-86. critically reviewed the scientific ideas about systems as complexes of components and formulated the principles of organization of functional systems - as procedural formations that concentrate in the direction of relieving social and natural stresses [2] .

In 1982-86 investigated the nature of the functional orientation of living systems and developed the concept of the emergence of the biosphere and life on Earth as a result of the evolution of geochemical stresses and gradients that form even before the appearance of organisms and determine the functional orientation of all living systems [3] .

In the 80-90s. investigated the logic of the development of political events and processes in various social systems, formulated the concept of geo-biosphere determination of social processes and conflicts, as well as the theory of evolution of social systems according to the principle of their “melting”. Based on these concepts, he formulated a forecast of social conflicts and tensions in the XXI centuries. [4] .

In the logic of the theory of functional systems, he studied the periodization of age-related development of personality and the socio-historical nature of age-related crises. He showed the fundamental similarity of the functions of motivation in the organization of psychological systems and gravity in the organization of physical systems, which made it possible to apply a number of laws of physics to analyze the wave nature of age periods and personality development crises [5] .

In 1994-96, while working as a consultant to the President of Kazakhstan, he formulated programs to foster internationalism and tolerance, to overcome ethnic conflicts, as well as the concept of Kazakhstan as the "Eurasian axis of stability."

In 1995-2003 conducted a “Study of the psychological mechanisms of social tensions and conflicts arising from the transformation of an authoritarian society into a democratic society” (MacArthur Foundation, 1995-1997), a study on the topic: “Management in Kazakhstan: a view from the point of view of Western sociology” (INAS Foundation, 1999-2003 )

In 1997-2006 He led research at the Russian Academy of Education on the following topics: “The Formation of the Political Identity of the Person in Modern Conditions”; “The psychological structure of the Russian family as the basis of personality education”; "Psychological foundations of the life of the family as a determining system of personality development." He developed the concept of the development of the political self-identity of the person, investigated the principles of the formation of the psychological structure of the family in different types of society, the role of the family structure in the formation of the child’s personality, investigated the psychological specifics of the education of the person in different types of ethnic systems.

In 2004-2006, comparing the forms of activity and types of worldview in various ethnic systems, he developed the concept of cultural-historical periodization of the types of subjectivity that form at different stages of development of social systems [6]
