1988 European Film Prize

1988 European Film Awards (first Felix or Euro-Oscar ceremony) - The European Film Academy Award ( German: Europäischer Filmpreis ) was established by the European Film Academy in 1988 on the initiative of a group of directors and producers as a cinematic symbol (and part) of the unification process Of Europe. Perhaps that is why the first ceremony of presenting the statuettes of Euro-Oscar was symbolically appointed and held in West Berlin , November 25-26, 1988 . In less than two years, the Berlin Wall was destroyed, and Berlin (and Germany ) united.
