Biography
Born in the family of a professional violinist. Until the age of 15, he studied the piano, later on the bandoneon - a variety of harmonium. Since 1928 he has been touring Spain as part of the national orchestra, where his older brother works as a pianist and conductor. He was seriously interested in cinema and made a fast career in Spanish cinema: for three films - from the third assistant to an independent director. But the outbreak of civil war forced him to leave Spain.
Career
After returning to his homeland in the early 1940s, he shot several films at the Pampa Films studio , but, despite their commercial success, the contract with him was not prolonged. Together with his unaccompanied actors and directors, in 1941 he created the production studio " Association of Artists of Argentina Limited " (Artistas Argentinos Asociados Sociedad Cinematográfica de Responsabilidad Limitada). In this creative union, he shot about 30 films by the mid-1970s.
Died in 1981 from a heart attack.
