Biography
Sultan Mahmoud Mirza ( 1453 - 1495 ), the third son of Timurid Abu Seyid , was born in 1453 in Samarkand .
In 1494 , after the death of his brother Sultan Ahmed Mirza , he headed the Timurid state in Maverannahr . Less than a year of rules - ( 1494 - 1495 ).
Mother was the daughter of the Horde Bug Tarhan.
His father granted him the governorship of Samarkand and Bukhara . Later, Tashkent , Shahrukhiya and Sairam were annexed to his possessions. Then he himself gave Tashkent and Sayram to the possession of his brother Umar Sheikh.
According to sources, in 1494-1495 , the Hamza Sultan and Mahdi Sultan, who left Sheibani Khan , were in the service of the Sultan Mahmud Mirza, along with all the Uzbeks [1] .
Death
Sultan Mahmoud Mirza died in 1495 . His son Baysunkar Mirza ascended the throne of Samarkand.
