Biography
Born March 1, 1922 in the village of Uzun-Agach, now Zhambyl district, Almaty region of Kazakhstan, in a working class family. Uyghur . In 1941 he graduated from an incomplete secondary school.
In the Red Army since August 1941. In the battles of World War II from December 1942. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1944.
The commander of the submachine gun company of the 1369th Infantry Regiment (417th Infantry Division, 51st Army, 4th Ukrainian Front), Red Army soldier Dadash Babazhanov, in battles for the city of Sevastopol on May 7-9, 1944, was the first to bring the unit entrusted to him to the top Sapun Mountain , located southeast of Sevastopol, which is tactically a key position on the outskirts of the city, and hoisted the Red Flag there.
During the fighting, the squad under the command of Babazhanov destroyed more than fifty Nazis and, chasing the enemy, was one of the first to break into Sevastopol.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 24, 1945, for the exemplary performance of command missions at the front of the struggle against Nazi invaders and the courage and heroism shown at the same time, Red Army soldier Babadzhanov Dadash Babazhanovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Star medal (No. 5008).
After the war, D. B. Babazhanov was demobilized. He returned to his homeland - to Kazakhstan. In 1947 he graduated from a party school under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan. He lived and worked in the district center - the village of Uzun-Agach . He died on February 6, 1985.

Also, his feat is captured on the painting of the diorama "Assault on the Sapun Mountains" , written by a team of artists from the Grekov studio of military artists led by P. T. Maltsev, which is installed in the memorial museum on Sapun Mountain .
