Biography
Auguste Adolf Lucien Trekul was born on January 8, 1818 in the commune of Montdublo, department of Loire and Cher in France. He worked at the National Museum of Natural History in Paris and at the French Ministry of Agriculture. From 1848 to 1850 Trekul traveled around the United States and collected various plant samples.
Trekul is known as a specialist in the anatomy, physiology and organogenesis of plants.
In 1867, he was awarded the Legion of Honor .
