Oktyabrskoe is a village in the Dolinsky urban district of the Sakhalin Oblast of Russia ^[3] , 7 km from the regional center.

Located on the banks of the Naiba River.

History

The village was founded in 1893 under the name Romanovsky ^[4] . From 1907 to 1945 belonged to the Japanese governorate of Karafuto and was called Watase ( Jap. 渡瀬 ) . After the transfer of South Sakhalin to the USSR, the village received its modern name.
