Geography
Located on the banks of the Tatar Strait .
History
Until 1945, it belonged to the Japanese governorate of Karafuto and was called Ebe ( 江 部 ) . After the transfer of South Sakhalin to the USSR, the village received its modern name ( Rybatsky was also proposed) [4] .

According to the 2002 census, the population is 30 people (16 men, 14 women). The predominant nationality is Russian (87%) [2] .
