Rudny boring is a village located on the island of Kunashir , 36 km from Yuzhno-Kurilsk . Located in the South Kuril urban district of the Sakhalin region of Russia [4] .

Located on the shores of the Sea of Okhotsk .
Until 1945, it belonged to the Japanese governorate of Karafuto and was called Seborito ( Jap. シ ベ ト ロ ) . After the transfer of the South Sakhalin USSR village was given the modern name. Ore gold was mined in the vicinity [5] .
