Provincial Park Ischigualasto ( Spanish: Parque provincial de Ischigualasto ) - a conservation area in Argentina , located in the province of San Juan , in the north-west of the country. Together with the Talampaya National Park , located within a geological formation with the same name (Triassic age), the park is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List .

The park covers an area of 603.7 km², mainly in the Valle Fertil department , partly in the territory of the Hachal department, at altitudes of about 1300 m above sea level. The park is characterized by typical desert and semi-desert vegetation ( bushes , cacti and small trees ). The climate is arid, rains occur mostly in summer, and temperatures range from −10 to +45 ° C. Mostly constant south winds blow here at a speed of 20-40 km / h.
