History

1958-1991

The plant was founded in 1958 . The main activity of the enterprise was the overhaul of GAZ and ZIL automobiles. Since the 1980s, the plant began producing shift buses TS-3966 on the GAZ-53A chassis and mobile control centers on the UAZ-3303 chassis.

After 1991

In the early 1990s, demand for the company's products fell sharply, and the plant began to search for a production item that would allow it to preserve production capacities. In 1995, the company mastered the production of ambulances based on the GAZ-3302 . At the same time, the production of SPV-15 minibuses, as well as utility vans and special vehicles based on them, was launched. Since that time, the main products of the enterprise were buses of small and especially small capacity. Until the beginning of the 2000s, a gamma of buses on the GAZ-3302 chassis was developed and put on the conveyor. Modifications differ in the number of passenger seats, cabin layout and equipment.

In 2003, the plant received permission from GAZ to lengthen the Gazelle chassis, which significantly expanded the range of products. In the same period, the hourly bus got a new name - “ Ruta ”.

In February 2008, the plant began mass production of small-capacity buses Ruta-43 for urban transport and Ruta-44 for suburban transport on the chassis of the GAZ-3310 Valdai truck [1] .

On November 12, 2008, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Decree No. 989, which prohibited the use of buses converted from trucks on intercity routes (buses of this type were manufactured by CRZ, which reduced their competitiveness and reduced sales markets) [2] .

In 2010, the plant introduced Ruta-35 TA and Ruta-41 TA buses on the TATA LPT-613 chassis [3] .

In 2011, sales of Ruta buses on the GAZelle-Business chassis began.

In 2013, the plant produced 316 buses [4] .

In October 2014, the plant introduced the 25-seater Ruta 25D Nova bus on the GAZelle-Next chassis. [5] [6] . In 2014, the plant produced 49 buses [7] .

In 2015, the plant produced 174 buses [8] , in 2016 - 37 buses [9] , in 2017 - 90 buses [10] .

At the end of 2016, the plant mastered the release of a new wagon-mounted bus model on the Ashok Leyland chassis. [eleven]

In June 2017, the plant produced the first 24-seater bus on the Ford Transit chassis [12] .

In the fall of 2017, the plant carried out a major overhaul of the body of the ZiU-9 trolleybus owned by KP Bakhmutelectrotrans . [13] .

In 2018, the plant produced 107 buses [14] .

In January - June 2019, the plant produced 38 buses [15] .
