The Polissya province of alluvial terraced, marsh and secondary water-glacial landscapes is an individual natural-territorial complex of the rank of a landscape province, distinguished in the system of landscape zoning of Belarus . The province covers the southern part of Belarus . Its northern border passes near the cities of Pruzhany , Bereza , Ivatsevichi , Gantsevichi , Lyuban , Zhlobin , then descends to Gomel along the valley of the Dnieper and further, rising to Vetka , approaching the border with Russia . It occupies about 28% of the territory of Belarus .
The province is distinguished by the spread of the Polissya (broad-leaved forest) landscapes. For it are typical low-lying PTC , to a lesser extent, medium-altitude. The peculiarity of the landscape structure is determined by the landscapes of several genera: terraced alluvial (about half of the province's area), secondary glacier-water landscapes, and undifferentiated complexes with the predominance of wetlands . These PTCs account for 76% of the territory of Polesye. Among others, floodplain and moraine-zander landscapes are significantly represented.
