Functions
- Pre-scan (preview).
- Automatic color correction.
- Manual and automatic selection of the required area for scanning.
- Separate adjustment of the scanning resolution for the width and length of the image.
- Print a printer scanned images.
- Sending an image to print. By default, this is done using the Line Printer Daemon protocol ( lpr) lpr command .
- Sending an image to an OCR program (if available in the operating system).
- Creating multipage documents (batch scanning).
- Ability to work as a plugin for the GIMP image editor. To do this, you must run the command on the command line :
ln -s / usr / bin / xsane ~ /.gimp-2.6/plug-ins/
- substituting changeable data: <user_name> is the name of the user's home folder in the system; instead of the version number of GIMP "2.6", indicate the first two digits of the version of the GIMP currently installed.
XSane is called from the GIMP menu “File” -> “New”.
