Biography

Born on June 2 (15), 1915 in the village of Dutyr of the Rishtan Volost , Kokand district, Fergana region , Turkestan governorship-general , Russian empire in a peasant family. Uzbek Education is incomplete secondary. He worked on the farm .

In the Red Army since January 1942. The participant of the Great Patriotic War in the post of the commander of the department of the 88th separate motorized engineering battalion. Particularly distinguished when crossing the river Oder .

On the night of January 27, 1945, his department was ordered to build a pier for the ferry crossing over the Oder River near the city of Steinau (now the city of Stsinawa , Poland ). Under the continuous machine-gun and mortar fire of the enemy, the squad finished the construction of the pier two hours before the deadline and thus ensured the timely transfer of tanks to the right bank. During the crossing, one of the boats, towing steam with a tank, stalled the engine. Corporal T. Akhmedov rushed into the icy water, took the boat cutter and passed it to the shore. The boat and the tank were rescued. As a result of three hours of selfless work, the branch of T. Akhmedov transported 35 tanks to the west bank of the Oder. [one]

For courage, bravery and heroism shown in the struggle against the German invaders, the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 10, 1945 to the corporal Akhmedov Tukhtasin was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal (No. 6697). After the war, demobilized. He returned to his native village. He worked as head of the reception of cotton. He died on May 30, 2000.
