Description
Found in the Holarctic (about 10 species) [2] . In Russia, 2 species. Body length about 2 mm. Endoparasitoids of adult ants , mainly from the genus Formica , as well as Camponotus and Polyergus [1] . Species Elasmosoma marikovskii Tobias, 1986 (Kazakhstan) and Elasmosoma platamonense Huddleston, 1976 in 1993 were isolated into a separate genus Kollasmosoma [3] .
