Scarlet Sails (residential complex)

“ Scarlet Sails ” is a high-rise residential complex in Moscow ( Aviation Street , houses 77 - 79), consisting of five buildings. The first building was built in 2001. As of the end of the 2010s, all designed buildings of the complex have been built; it is one of the twenty tallest buildings in Moscow . The customer and investor in the construction is Don Stroy , and the architect is Andrey Trofimov.

The buildings are monolithic brick buildings from 27 to 48 floors high, the first three buildings are located on the banks of the Moskva River not far from the last locks of the Moscow Canal . The territory of the complex is more than 7 hectares, on the territory there is a water park, swimming pool, spa, fitness center, bowling, tennis center, soccer field, restaurant, yacht club. On the roof of 4 buildings is a helipad. The cost of apartments in 2001 was about $ 1.25 thousand per m², by 2008, prices rose to $ 7.45 thousand per m² for unfinished apartments and up to $ 17.8 thousand per m² for apartments with decoration. In 2008, apartments were rented at prices ranging from $ 6 thousand to $ 35 thousand per month ^[1] .

On January 14, 2016, 36-year-old Irina Volodina, daughter of announcer Yevgeny Kochergin ^[2], died while falling into the shaft of an elevator in house number 79.
