“Sous les toits de Paris” ( Russian Under the Roofs of Paris ) is a French waltz -style pop song written by Raul Moretti to the words of Rene Nazelle for the 1930 film of the same name .
Egon Schubert and Ernst Steffan wrote the German text of the song entitled “In Paris, in Paris sind die Mädels so süß” ( Russian. Girls in Paris are so cute ). In Germany, it was then recorded by the orchestras of Paul Godwin , Dyos Bel (in both versions the vocal part was performed by Leo Monosson ), Marek Weber , Eddie Valis, Bernhard Ette (with vocals by Kurt Mühlhardt).
In 1961, Sarah Montiel sang Sous les toits de Paris in the Spanish film Pecado de Amor. In 1966, the German version was recorded by the Austrian artist Peter Alexander .
