Content
History
The street was laid in 1721 during the construction of a settlement of free carpenters on Bolshaya Okhta. Officially exists since 1828. Originally called Dudin Street , by the names of the families of Ivan Matveevich, Fedor Ivanovich and Andrei Ivanovich Dudin, who owned land on this street. Since 1828, the street was called Tournova , by the name of the owner of Tournov’s workshop, and on October 31, 1922 the street was named Ulyanov Street in memory of Alexander Ilyich Ulyanov , a revolutionary, creator of the “Terrorist Faction” of the party “Narodnaya Volya” , older brother of Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (Lenin ) In the 1950s, the street entered the building of Bolsheokhtinsky and Sredneohtinsky avenues [1] .
The name Ulyanov Street was transferred to the existing street in the 1940s . On May 4, 1987, the street received a modern, refined name [2] .
