Mlada is a youth choir from Perm with more than 20 years of history, a laureate of international competitions and festivals, a cultural brand of Perm and the Perm Territory. Artistic Director - Honored Art Worker of Russia Olga Vyguzova [1] .

The Mlada Choir was founded in 1989 at the Children's Music School No. 2 [1] . The first significant victory was in June 1990, when the collective of senior classes of Children's Music School No. 2 became the Laureate of the V Regional Festival of Children's Musical Creativity in the city of Tchaikovsky [2] . Subsequently, the choir became a laureate of a number of international competitions.
September 25, 2011 Perm Academic Choir "Mlada" won first place in the nomination "Uniform Choir" at the 11th International Choir Competition in the Belgian city of Maasmechelen . The choir team was awarded the diploma of the laureate of the first degree [3] .
Pushing the boundaries of the traditional choral genre, the collective uses innovative creative ideas and owns diverse styles of singing.
The choir’s repertoire includes over 300 works of various musical styles.
Today, Mlada has five main programs:
- “Singing about Russia ...” is a program that includes choral works by composers of the 20th century - G. Sviridov, N. Sidelnikov, V. Kalistratov, I. Dunaevsky and others.
- “Secret” is a concert program composed of songs by B. Okudzhava, V. Vysotsky, A. Gradsky, O. Mityaev and other popular Russian bards.
- "About Jazz in an Undertone" - various areas of jazz music: from its origins - Negro spiritual hymns - to internationally recognized jazz standards. accompanied by a jazz band.
- “People have different songs ...” is a popular song classic created by Soviet authors in different periods of the 20th century.
- “Music of the World” - the program includes several blocks: music from neighboring countries, Europe, Asia, North and Latin America.
Mlada takes part in the following music projects:
- The ethno-musical project of Vladimir Martynov “Children of the Otter” (to the lyrics by V. Khlebnikov) is a joint performance with the Moscow Opus Posth chamber orchestra Tatyana Grindenko and the Tuvan group “Huun-Huur-Tu”, which owns the secrets of one of the oldest forms of music making on earth - Throat singing. Since 2009, the project was presented in Perm, St. Petersburg, Moscow, at the GOGOLFest contemporary art festival in Kiev (Ukraine) and at the Theater Confrontations festival in Lublin (Poland).
- A joint project with the Chamber Orchestra of the Tallinn Philharmonic (Estonia), the State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russia), with the participation of Whitehead William (organ, United Kingdom) - a performance by Karl Jenkins “ Armed Man: Mass for Peace ”, commissioned by the Royal Armory Museum of Great Britain . The project was presented in Perm as part of the VII International Festival of Organ Music.
- In June 2013, as part of the VII International Choir Festival dedicated to the Day of Russia, the Perm Mlada choir gave a recital in two parts, and also held a master class in the Small Hall of the St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonic named after D. D. Shostakovich.
The team performed at the following stages:
- Moscow: State Kremlin Concert Hall / Crocus City Hall / Chambers of the Moscow Kremlin / Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory / Concert Hall named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, International House of Music, etc.
- St. Petersburg: St. Petersburg Chapel them. Glinka, Smolny Cathedral, Big and Small Halls of the St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonic named after D. D. Shostakovich.
- Yekaterinburg: Concert Hall of the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic.
- Perm: Grand Hall of the Perm Regional Philharmonic Society, Organ Hall, Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. P.I. Tchaikovsky and others.
- Nice (France): National Theater of Nice, recital at the XI Festival of Russian Art and Cinematography.
- Concert venues in the cities. Stuttgart (Germany), Maasmechelen, Tongeren (Belgium), Amsterdam (Netherlands), Metz, Challan (France).
