Biography
He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of Moscow State University (1965), graduate school of the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1968).
He taught at the Faculty of Philosophy of Moscow State University , at the Moscow Historical and Archival Institute ; in 1979-1985 - senior scientist INION .
Since 1985, he has been working at the IPh .
The official representative in Russia of the (1991-1996) [1] [2] .
Ivin in 1968 presented the first logical theory of absolute estimates (the logic of the concepts of “good”, “indifferent”, “bad”), based on it he built the logic of utilitarian estimates (“is valuable to achieve this goal”). He further showed that the standard logic of norms ( deontic logic ) can be reduced to the logic of absolute estimates. He introduced the general concept of value , encompassing values of all kinds and going in parallel with the classical definition of truth: good is the correspondence of an object to an idea expressed about it, to its own standard.
