“Do Somethin '” ( Rus. Do Something ) is the second and last single from American pop singer Britney Spears from the greatest hits hits : My Prerogative (2004). The authors of the song were Andreas Karlszon and Henrik Jonback, as well as the duo Bloodshy & Avant , who previously collaborated with the singer.

Music Video
The video for the song takes place at a club called Hole in the Wall. The video involved several dancers, as well as club visitors. In one of the episodes of the clip, the singer, along with the dancers represented in the video, drives on a pink Hummer into a tunnel leading into the clouds in the sky. At the end of the clip, the singer with her dancers turns out to be in the previously mentioned club, where she performs on the stage elements of modern dance, singing a song with a microphone in her hands. Periodically, the clip shows episodes in which the singer is shown in a revealing costume: black underwear and white furs. The costumes and the idea of the clip belong to the singer, Britney Spears . In the video, the singer is dressed in pink tones of clothes, the topic with the inscription Love Boat (Boat of Love) is highlighted. In the club, Britney and her friends, dancers are trying to revive the audience, dancing vigorously, giving the body a sexy hint. The audience joins their dance. At the end of the dance, the singer and dancers remain on stage.
In December 2005, the video was selected in the nomination “The worst video of 2005”. MuchMusic, Fromage changed the plot of the video, making it more original and allowing him to take third place in the list of Britney Spears music videos.
Appearance in the charts
Although “Do Somethin '” was never released on discs in the United States, on April 26, 2005, the song reached 100th place on the Billboard Hot 100 thanks to digital downloads [1] . The song was also on the Billboard Pop 100 and Hot Digital Songs in 63rd and 49th places, respectively [2] . As of August 2010, 363,000 digital copies of “Do Somethin '” were sold in the United States [3] . In Australia, the song debuted at 8th place on March 7, 2005 [4] . The single received a gold certificate from the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) for selling over 35,000 copies [5] . That same week, he debuted at the UK Singles Chart at 6th place [6] . “Do Somethin '” was also popular in Europe: in Belgium (Flanders), Hungary, Sweden, Denmark and Ireland was in the Top 10, and in Belgium (Wallonia), the Czech Republic, Germany, Norway, Switzerland and the Netherlands was in the Top 20 [7] [8] .
