Glee: The Music, Volume 2 - the second album of soundtracks for the American musical television series " Chorus ", which is broadcast by Fox on the United States and Canada. The album, which was released on December 4, 2009, included songs performed in episodes from the ninth to thirteenth of the first season of the series. The release went platinum in Canada and Australia, gold in the UK and the USA. All tracks were released as singles through digital distribution , and also sounded in the series, with the exception of “Don't Make Me Over”, which was performed only in instrumental version. Critical reviews of the album declined mixed; most praised Leah Michel , Amber Riley and Kevin McHale's vocals, but negatively commented on the arrangements that made the album “look like a collection of karaoke tracks” [4] .

Creation
All the songs included in the album were released as singles available for download on the network [5] . The most successful of them was the cover version of True Colors, which reached the 15th line of the Ireland chart [6] , 35 in the UK [7] [8] , 28 in Canada [9] [10] , 47 in Australia [11] . The single “Lean on Me”, which occupied the 50th position [10] [12] , became the most successful in the USA. Among the songs that didn’t make it to the charts were “(You're) Having My Baby” and “Don't Make Me Over”. In addition to traditional cover versions, karaoke versions of “Lean on Me”, “My Life Would Suck Without You” and “True Colors” [5] , based on popularity among the community of fans, were released [13] .
Yoko Ono denied Choir's use of John Lennon 's Imagine song for the first time. PJ Bloom, the musical supervisor of the series, explained it this way: “It was very difficult to convince Yoko Ono that this was really the right thing. She needed to truly understand that music would be performed by deaf choristers. When the permission was signed, it was an incredibly sharp moment, a tribute to John and his song ” [14] . An arranged version of “Don't Make Me Over” was included in the album, while only the instrumental version was used in the series [15] .
